Chastity (Chassy) is a fourth-year Psychology honours student. In the previous two years, they worked as an academic committee member and then as an academic director for PSA. In her final year with PSA, she hopes to connect and meet with new people both in and out of the psychology community. In their free time, Chassy enjoys reading books and creative writing.

Alex is a fourth-year Psychology and Sociology student, who is hoping to work in an area which combines the two disciplines to some degree. Two particular interests of his are abnormal psychology and addictions recovery work. Alex served as a Social Director for the PSA last year and hopes to continue serving well as a VP of Social Affairs, by bringing in more people, more excitement, and more events. In his free time, Alex can be reached in your nearest forest, where he is probably sitting in some tree above you.
VP of Academics – Bhavya Jain (she/her) email
Bachelor of Arts, Major in Psychology with a Minor in International Relations
Year: 3
Bhavya is a third-year student majoring in Psychology and minoring in International Relations. This is her third year working with the PSA. In her first year at UBC, she was the Content Writer for PSA and in her second year, she was the Academic Director at PSA. As the VP Academics this year, she aims to organize helpful academic events for the psychology community at UBC, thereby, making it easier for psychology students to access academic resources and develop new connections. Bhavya loves meeting new people, trying out new restaurants and chasing sunsets at the beach in her free time.
Pia is a second-year Psychology student. This is her first year working as a PSA executive member. She is incredibly passionate about helping people learn more about Psychology and decide their place within the field. She hopes that working with the PSA will be a great opportunity to do this. In her free time, she likes to bake, do embroidery and explore new places and try new things. She plans to pursue a graduate degree in Counselling Psychology and work in the same field.

Eliza is a second-year psychology student. This will be her first year working for the PSA. As Vice President of Communications, she hopes to connect with the psychology community, as well as bring psychology to students outside the department. In her free time, she enjoys meeting new people, exploring hidden gems in the city, and embarking on spontaneous road trips.

Irene is a third-year Integrated Sciences student integrating Neuroscience and Public Health. This will be her first year holding this position and working with PSA. Irene is a local student from Burnaby and loves to participate in various events on campus with her fellow UBC students. Her aspiration within the PSA is to establish connections with a wider community of psychology and neuroscience students and ensure that all diverse needs and voices are heard and valued.

She is passionate about helping and serving the community and in her free time she enjoys playing basketball, baking, and catching sunsets at the beach. After graduating, she plans to pursue a career in clinical psychology.
