A word from the PSA President:

On behalf of Psychology Students’ Association (PSA), I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all of you.

Here at PSA, our mission is to enhance the personal, professional and academic success of psychology students in UBC by working together with the Department of Psychology. We do this in large part by holding academic and social events throughout the academic year. This work culminates with the 14th Annual Psychology Undergraduate Research Conference. This year’s conference is proud to welcome research from undergraduates here in the department in both poster and oral presentation form. Moreover, our keynote speaker this year is Dr. Helen Neville, a world-renowned psychologist who bridges cognitive, biological and developmental psychology at the Department of Psychology at the University of Oregon.

We have great lineup of events this year and we would love for you to join us! PSA is not limited to students who are Psychology majors or minors and it is never too late to become a member of PSA—the modest annual fee of only $10 gives you access to all PSA events throughout the year with no additional charge at the door; 15% discount off of graduation photos; and you’ll be one of the first to hear about psychology-related opportunities at UBC, as well as in the lower mainland (e.g. Research Assistant positions in UBC and in hospitals across Vancouver).
